| It's a Monday night (or Tuesday morning by now I suppose) and it feels
like it should be Friday. Today was sooo crazy and hectic, but in
a really really great way...if that makes sense. Maybe I should
explain. See I'm takin this pottery class...no not the "My Big
Fat Greek Wedding" kind of "pottery class," but Ceramics I at the
community college...and it's so great, I haven't
enjoyed a class this much in...well 3 years since i took my last
Ceramics class in high school. I am seriously kicking myself for
having not found a way to do this every semester I've been in
school. Anyway, enough gushing about it...so I had that all
morning 9-12:30 and then I drove down to the hall for Truth School,
where I take over as "fun" worker from poor Alicia who gets to be
"constitution" worker (though I should probably be pitying myself since
her part has eternal value while mine consists of playing games with
kids...) because all of the lessons and "Bible stuff" is in the
morning and all the activities are in the afternoon. Today's
activity was bowling. Perfect timing cause I've had a hankerin to
go ever since I saw that big neon "bowl" sign every night for a week in
Anaheim. It was probably not a good idea for me to bowl
because I pulled a muscle in my upper thigh on Thursday...falling off a
horse.
That's right...I have another great, dumb, "why would you do that?"
"injured myself because I'm ignorant", story to tell. My
grandkids will never get bored...or at least not for a few hours (lets
hope). Anyway, too much happened to explain, but if you are going
to fall off a horse, fall on your side, into very tall grass, while
going up a hill. It WILL hurt, but the injuries will be much less
than falling any other way. All I have for "show" is some ugly
scratches on my arm, a bruise on my shoulder, one behind my ear and an
extremely unattractive limp. I'm very thankful to the Lord it was
not worse.
Anyway, back to today, had a "break" from 3-6 and then a bunch of
TS-ers came over to our house and we ate dinner, sang, read the verses
for tonight, and played games. I'm really glad I at least get to
be in on the night time stuff so I'm not just "serving" at the bowling
alley or the softball fields.
Ok, get to do it all over again tomorrow, so that'll have to do for now...

| Hmm long time since update... Well I'm home for June. Fortunately
and unfortunately I have no plans for this time, so it could be
fun...or very very boring. So anyway, I'll be taking US History
distance learning and that's about it. Then MAYBE the training,
and then back down to college for summer school...Ceramics that is
:) Well I'm not in the mood to write. It's late and I'm
sweaty from playing basketball so I must go...goodnight.

| Well, my first day of spring break proved to be consistent with my semester. Leo, my cat, died this morning. I had expected it to happen in the next couple years since he was almost 15, but I certainly didn't expect to wake up to my mom's muffled cries from the front yard and a knock on the door from my dad, telling me he had died probably from a heart attack. Kinda weird for a cat. Anyway, I don't mean to be depressing. In fact I find it silly to cry over animals, but I do anyway. And what can I say, He was a great cat, I got him when we moved into this house the summer before I started 1st grade. So he's been through a lot So that's that. I did not attend the funeral Erin. I think it would have been too sad. So no words were spoken on my side. But I'm mighty glad that I took all of those silly pictures with him over winter break Anyway, what else is there to say. Good cat, loved him, will miss him. Bye Leo.

| so this was a rant that
apparently made no sense to anyone else...(or maybe just not to eek)
soooo the general idea is have conversations with real people and not
your computer screen exclusively ok...and here's some nice little
quotes:
"...the beauty of a real conversation, with a living, breathing person on
the other end is that you get balanced. Well, hopefully anyway...but at least you see how unbalanced they are. Unless you two are
exactly the same person with all of the same opinions, in which case my advice is to run as quickly
and loudly, flailing your hands above your head, in the opposite
direction."
"There are people paid to be that weird! So let them do their
jobs or go be their apprentice or something. I just want to read about
how my friends are doing and look at pictures, is that so wrong?"
Ok so on to the real post, and my recount of a crazy day in the
life. Actually most of the weekend was pretty
crazy, but yesterday in particular really put me over the top. I
think it's important however to start with Sat. night for full
affect. College meeting, and
dessert afterward at the Lynch's. Played 3 or 4 rounds of
Mafia...very fun, I am forever destined to ba a citizen and nothing
with any real flare to it, on the other hand, no one ever tried to kill
me...i have no idea what this means. it is now midnight...drive
back to Villa, hang
out with Jo, Gloria, Bess and Anna. Talk about marrying a
lumberjack, decide its a good idea. Leave at 1:30, go to
bed. Wake up at 8, return to Villa for breakfast with adopted
apartment for the weekend. Find out my pseudo-healthy cereal is worse
for you than Lucky Charms...leave the box in Bess's trunk :).
It's a Grind coffee at 9:55...Morning
meeting at 10:15. Lunch at CM, sushi and ginger beer, oh so good.
Come home, change clothes, pick up Gloria at 2, go get kayak.
Kayak on the lake at 2:45. Almost get killed by 4-man row
boat. Discover uncanny draw to the middle of the lake, very
confused as to why we can't keep the boat near the shore, suspect a
drain somewhere in the middle on the bottom. Off the lake at
4:15. Shower, leave for Table at 5:20. Sit on back row, again.
Fellowship, fellowship, fellowship. Drop off kayak 7:50. HS
girls dinner at 8:15. Eat enourmous wrap...and lots of other
things. Feel like a pig at 8:45. Read about the 6 Mary's in
the Bible. Leave at 9:15. Come home, get on computer to do
"homework." Phone fellowship til 11:15. IM fellowship and
other IMing til midnight...decide to go to bed. And there is a
recipe for aching shoulders, an upset stomach and a really bad headache
for Monday morning....
